Operation Eventide
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
"If it's my soul that makes my body worth hurting, what's an empty shell got to lose?"
An Arbiter is a superhuman soldier, women with the ability to manifest their soul and transform into angels with boundless strength. They are the most powerful weapons the world has to offer, and the most reliable defense against Aberrations, tyrannical demons that descend from the moon and leave nothing but destruction in their wake.
Adelle Krouve —self-proclaimed “hero”— is an Arbiter with an indomitable sense of purpose. She's given the task of destroying the last Aberration standing: a ruthless steel hydra named ‘Edge Ixia Atlas SeigaRozen.’
Five years later, she wakes up in a body that is not her own: A shabby mechanical replica with only bits of her human self remaining—just enough to consider herself back from the dead.
What's worse, the scientist who claims to have rebuilt her refuses to give her a reason why.

Finished this last night. Enjoyed it a bunch. Some of the main plot stuff got a bit confusing and hard to follow at times, but I really liked all the characters and their interactions. Some of the music tracks were bangers too.
thank you for playing!!!
I loved ACT I. And I've been waiting for ACT II. So I was super excited. I just want to ask for help since English is not my first language and I'm also dumb af, but can you help me out with the Large Pulses thingy please? I'd really appreciate it, since I'm stuck DX. Thank you!
Thanks for playing so far! try the middle option in both the quarantine room and the repair depot, then go back to the server room
This is amazing! All the characters are very charming and it feels extremely polished and all the mechabare stuff hits on queer feelings and dysphoria in a cool way
I'll admit even after doing everything I am still very confused and the endings kinda just happen, so I'm glad to hear there's more coming.
I also immediately latched on to Adelle we're the same kinda dipshit ladykiller lesbian and she makes for a really fun POV character
I'm glad Adelle's character resonated with you, thank you so much for playing!
interesting story, I have to admit I spent an entire day off trying to understand what the heck was going on in this. I felt the fight scenes were too chaotic and the start was confusing since there was no real connection to the characters yet. I think Miriam was too long winded at points and when philosophy is used it's very open to interpretation and I have to admit even after getting all the cgs I'm still confused about certain things in this story. the major flaw I see in this is that it's not very concise and I feel all the endings are kind of sad in a way.
Thank you for playing! I really appreciate that you spent time chewing on the story
Ok I finally got everything and I got a few things to say and ask (for people that haven't gotten all endings leave, I'll try to not spoil anything major, but if you wanna go fully blind just skip this)
1-. Overall the game is awesome, the story is great, the narration, art , THE MUSIC, this is better than 99% of all visual novels I have tried, I'm really surprised you made it all for free. I do think the 2 routes is something confusing, everything would suggest they lead to different endings, but that isn't the case, still is just a nitpick of mine
2-. Have you considered making a discord server? I think it would be nice to have somewhere to yap about the lore and theories with some other people, specially if you'll build upon the story on the future (I'm assuming this from the respond you have to other guy here)
3-. Will there be a continuation to the story of Adelle in specific? If there won't I'm fine with that, the story is self conclusive, leaving just enough misteries to build upon, is really good, but I can't help to feel helpless with how things ended, Adelle ends up maidenless or worse, even in the one "good" ending, and Miriam... I'm sure whatever made her lose the light on her eyes probably was bound to happen one way or another (unless getting stuck with Adelle in ending y actually changes things), feels more like a cliffhanger than a proper closure and I really want for them to get a happy ending , but there's bigger fish to fry on the story, so rather than hanging on the hope that they'll pop up again after and getting and slightly bett outcome , I rather ask you. Without or without Adelle and Miriam in them, I'll still be delighted to read whatever you come up with next for this universe
Thank you for such a kind review! Adelle's story isn't over, although she will take a bit of a backseat for a little while -- Still, there's lots more to learn about her, even in the near future! I haven't considered making a discord server, but feel free to yap wherever and about whatever you wish, I'm happy to know the story left you with some theories. :>
How many endings does the game has? And is there a "true" ending? Or is that one of those "every ending is canon" situations?
3 endings total, no "true ending as far I'm aware, unless this gets sequel of some kind
Could you give us a hint about how to get the extra endings? I was only able to get ending a and y, but even after unlocking (most of) the locked dialogue options using them doesn't changes the ending at all :(in already tried many things and k just can't get any other that the 2 ending I mentioned, or unlocked any of lavandula's , locked dialogues
To be more precise after doing the main ending 3 dialogue options unlock, one takes you straight up to ending y , but the other 2 idk what to do with them, since you can also change the result of certain event based on the act 1 dialogue options(I don't wanna spoil but you know what I mean), I have tried many combinations with picking one or both locked dialogue options and one of the 2 outcomes of that event, but none of them give a different ending, and idk if there's like a third outcome to the event in question or something, but I'm at a lost , could you pretty please give us a hint on what to do for the other endings? :)
hello! if you're playing on pc, theres a walkthrough .txt in the game files that will (hopefully) help you out. (its a little barebones as of right now, i do intend to add better descriptions to it some point soon.)
if not, any extra content is all before lavandula's ending dialogue. The ending you're looking for actually happens pre-basement level, though theres some alt CGs that can happen after that.
So as a hint: be sure to exhaust all of miriam's "question" dialogue and check both floors for any hallway choices that unlock thereafter. Also, pay attention when youre travelling down (either) dark hallway!
thank you for playing, and reaching out! :D
this game is remarkably polished, it's incredibly impressive. i can tell just how much time and effort was spent making this. the story is compelling, and the art really pops. thank you for making this. i enjoyed the mystery of untangling what really happened and what everyones end goal was. i hundred percented the game today and must ask: what's slater's deal?
Thank you for playing, and I especially appreciate the commitment to the 100%!! And indeed, what's with that urchin? maybe we'll learn more about her soon... haha
i eagerly anticipate it. and let me say, lavandula is sublime. what a superb terrible woman.
Id say this game is a solid 8/10 and would reccomend, but as a person that doesnt read a lot, it was sometimes hard to chew through the walls of text. The story was amazing, but this game also extremely angered me when I couldnt choose a certain option that I wont spoil (Result of my previous choices, but I was so invested, I thought I was gonna drop it, so the ending was kinda pooped for me because of that T-T). Got the ending A. btw
Thank you for playing!
Some choices are unlocked after the first playthrough :)Thanks for clarifying that, Ill be sure to replay it :DDD
now that ive gotten to the end i can once again second my previous comment. wow. thank you for more lavandula air raid sirens
thank you for handling lavandula !!!!!!!!! o7
他是renpy制作的emmm我想可以用电脑完成机翻汉化
im kinda stunned at how much there was in act 1 already the nights kept on ending and i was like oh wow really still more? and it kept on delivering! oh this is so strong its unreasonable.
like not only was i taking my time to admire the art and the assets and the scripting and how cute these dorks are but the writing was so pleasant. its such a strength to be able to have so much text on screen yet all of it just feels purposeful and just makes me wanna binge more
every one of these girls are in such an unenviable position and feels like they all have reasons to want or need to get murderous with eachother but they're all kinda trying to scheme and find wiggle room for anything else than mindlessly obeying the big mama boss bitch who put this web together. i adore how the chapter select shows who is in each scene and how it makes it even more clear how much of a presence lavandula has with so little screen time. i love her. and gabey. very much
i feel like the more i say the more incoherent my ramble will get so balically ive just told my friends to play this too i hope they and many more find this story. youve put together something wonderful and im looking forward to act 2 and onwards
thank you so much for playing and for such a kind review!! I'm really happy you enjoyed and excited to release more soon, lots of lavandula incoming *air raid siren sfx*
I'd like a chinese translation.
I can only play this game by myself using the translation software.
I did poorly in English at school.
我也想要😭
I have no words. Simply cinema.
Definitely the type of cinema I would wait 5 whole years for a second part.
thank you for playing! the wait will be shorter than you think ...
I typically find a lot of text given to me at once to be overwhelming, or I feel the need to skim over wordy sections that drag to get to parts when a story moves.
I was starting to feel like I was losing patience with descriptive stories in general.
But oh girl, was this a breath of fresh air! I absolutely love your writing style c: Going through chunks of text was actually really fun- it feels like I'm being told a story and my attention is being held. It's just written in a way that's fun to read, even beyond the content. I usually enjoy stories just for the sake of the story; but here I also enjoyed the text itself! I was starting to worry that when I tackle the wordier parts of my own game, I'd have accept losing some reader attention. But this has really given me a good showcase of how to do long text segments correctly.
Also the artwork is banger; I'm a huge fan of squishy lookin' anime lesbians. The softness really comes through in your work. Great writing, great art, great game :>
Also as someone who's seen my own inside parts outside, and had multiple implants put in, and also taken out- the segments written about her mechanical body feel like they've been done justice.
wow throwpup thank you, im very honored by your review! The wordier segments were definitely an obstacle in development, I share the sentiment of expecting them to somewhat skimmed over by player or otherwise not as memorable--but I believed they were important to me so I kept em. So to hear that it was fun to read makes me really happy! Thank you for playing! <3
I found this game just yesterday and I literally binged it.
i thought the game was already finished and my surprise that I needed to wait for act 2!😭
Idk how to feel like its those times when you found a manga that you realy liked but when you read it its says to be continued on season 2. Like you're so happy That you found something you realy enjoyed but at the same time you wish you haven't found this amazing story this early cous that means waiting for a long time to see the next thing that will happen!😭
Its a realy great game and the very first time I played a visuall novel game and my surprise it was realy good.
Thank you for the great game that you made, That made my very first visual novel experience REALY GREAT 🙏✨️
Also a question?
Do you need to download a new app of this game for act 2 or the game itself will just apdate?
Sorry as Ive said its my first time playing this type of games😅
I'm honored that Eventide was your first visual novel! There are so many stellar visual novels on itch that you should definitely check out if you liked mine!
Act 2 will be an updated version of this same build so you will have to redownload when the time comes, but all of your saves will still work (probably) :)
YEEEHHYYY Thanks mate!!!
Wait wait wait probably!!??😱
I just can't believe no one is talking about this game.
This is a real hidden gem.
Both the volume and the quality are insane. And I just loved how messy Miriam's house is!
It is against my religion to play a good yuri game for free, so I donated some (not much though) :)
Keep up the good work!
Wow, thank you so much for your generosity!!! I promise to keep making yuri!!
Hi kolulu!
So I've just finished my 2nd playthrough and I'm loving this more and more.
I guess I have weak spots for the womaniser girl and the girl with the neckbeard nest lol.
It's kind of embarrassing to post this in public, but are you interested in localising this into Japanese?
Actually, I'm a professional English to Japanese game translator with more than 6 years of experience,
and I really want to translate your game with my own hands (for free, of course).
I'm thrilled you were able to enjoy it for a second time! It would be amazing to see this game in Japanese and I'm honored that you are willing to undertake that endeavor--I'm admittedly unexperienced on that front when it comes to Ren'py. . .But still I'd be happy to provide any files you need for the translation, just let me know! (my email is on my creator page)
Another thing is that there's a few typos/errors in this version I am planning to patch out soon as well as updating some visuals, It may not effect the Ren'py translation process but just as a heads up.
Thank you for all your support!
8/10
Overall a fantastic start to a story; a beautiful combination of a visually appealing anime art style along vivid writing within this almost dystopian/ fantastical setting creates a memorable experience and leaves you wanting more.
I give it a 8/10 because despite the fantastic writing and visuals, there are quite a few parts that seem to drone on (mainly whenever Miriam is explaining something in regard to Adelle) that leave me asking "what is the point of this?" Its not necessarily a bad thing as it is establishing rules/ lore but the story leans very hard into "Slice of Life" at times and can give a feeling of "please just hurry up and show me the cool stuff again." If you like slice of life anime featuring cute/sexy anime girls you'll love this but to me the slice of life parts heavily drain the tension of the mystery surrounding Adelle/ the arbiters. Having an intense scene going on and then reverting back to a cutsie conversation or situation can be jarring. There are multiple moments of events occurring that left me in a state of hyper focus and excitement to then suddenly be ripped out and back into Miriam's room wanting to go back.
The art is beautiful and the author has clearly mastered the craft of creating some of the most fine anime thighs itch.io has ever seen. There are plenty of cgs for you to enjoy, I found myself removing the text and looking at all the attention to detail the author packed into each cg. The cgs can range from cool, to surprising, to horrifying, to flat out fanservice. Very well done!!!
The writing within the vn is very strong. The author's writing will change appropriately depending on the situation at hand. During tense scenarios the author does a great job at making the reader feel that; not only through clever word choice, but a general vibe. It will be obvious how the author wants you to feel and it comes across in a natural way. The essence of any situation gets translated very well through the writing; this goes for both tense scenarios and also more laid back ones. The writing to me seems somewhat inspired by vn's such as Full Metal Daemon Muramasa or Muv Luv. Author knows how to write and for a first release its very impressive, also must mention the dialogue between characters is full of unique personality and just flat out cute at times.
Music within the VN compliments the scenarios within it very well overall, only nit picks I have are sometimes the music seems a bit too much especially during moments of interpersonal drama (not gonna name exact scenario don't want to spoil). The one song I can't stand is the Damn Miriam one. You get sucked into exciting moments and then get pulled back to Miriam's room along with a relaxing beat to go with it. There are definitely a few good boppers in this vn though. Nice choices in music overall.
Looking forward to the next part, without getting into spoilers the ending will leave you wanting more!! Very nice job to the talented Author/artist/dev!! Looking forward to seeing more! Keep it up!!!!
Thank you so much for reading and I appreciate you taking the time to write such a thought-out review! I'm honored to know you hold the thigh cgs in such high regard, I am excited to provide more in the future! <3
Thank you very much for your kind words! Act two will also be free to play :)
Congratulations! I know you worked so hard to make this!
Thank you for all your help and support!!
